MatTracker

Floor Mat & Logo Mat Tracking Software for Textile Rental Operators

MatTracker is the dedicated mat-tracking module for textile rental businesses purpose-built for the operational reality of floor mats, branded mats, and logo mats. Know which mats are clean and ready, which belong to which customer, which are out on a route, and which are staged for tomorrow's truck.

What MatTracker Does

Floor mat rental looks simple from the outside. It is not. Generic mats are easy any clean scrape mat will do. Logo mats and branded mats are the hard part. A logo mat with a customer's imprint is unique to that customer; you can't substitute it, and when it goes missing on the back of a truck, you get a phone call asking where it is.

MatTracker is built around that reality. It tracks every mat through the four operational states that matter on the plant floor:

  • Clean Available - in plant inventory, ready to go out

  • Assigned to Customer - applies to logo and branded mats; the mat is committed to a specific customer's contract

  • Out on Route - currently with the customer

  • Staged for Loading - pulled, scanned, and queued for tomorrow's deliveries

That four-state model gives plant managers and route supervisors a clean answer to the question that drives most mat-tracking phone calls: Where is mat #X right now?

Built for Textile Rental Operations

MatTracker is purpose-built for:

  • Floor mat rental operators - running scrape mats, anti-fatigue mats, message mats, branded entrance mats, and custom logo mats across hundreds of stops

  • Logo and branded mat specialists - operations where a meaningful share of the mat inventory is customer-specific imprinted product that cannot be substituted on the truck

  • Uniform and linen rental operators who also rent mats - most of our customers rent more than one product line, and MatTracker plugs into the same RouteManager that's already running their uniform and linen contracts

  • Multi-route, multi-plant operators - moving mats between plants, between routes, and between customers without losing track of which mat is whose

If your inventory includes anything more interesting than a stack of identical generic mats and especially if you're billing customer-specific logo work MatTracker is built for the way your operation actually runs.

Key Features

Logo & Branded Mat Tracking

This is what MatTracker is built for. Logo mats with customer-specific imprints are the highest-value and hardest-to-track items in a mat rental plant. Substitute one branded mat for another and you've got an unhappy customer; lose one and you're chasing replacement billing. MatTracker keeps every branded mat tied to its assigned customer from the moment it's tagged through every clean cycle and every route trip.

Four-State Status Tracking

Every mat is tracked through four operational states: Clean Available, Assigned to Customer, Out on Route, and Staged for Loading. Plant managers see at a glance how many of each item are ready, committed, with customers, or queued for tomorrow. The model maps directly to the questions that drive day-to-day operations on the wash floor and at the loading dock.

Customer Assignment for Branded Mats

For logo and branded mats, MatTracker maintains a persistent assignment between the mat and the customer's contract. Assigned mats stay tied to that account through every wash and route cycle. If a customer cancels, the assignment is released. The result: branded inventory always reconciles back to the contracts that justify it.

Route Loading & Staging Workflow

The "Staged for Loading" state is the bridge between the wash floor and tomorrow morning's truck. As mats are pulled, scanned, and prepped for the next day's route, they move from Clean Available into Staged for Loading giving dispatch a real-time picture of what's loaded and what's still missing. Drivers leave with the mats they're supposed to leave with.

RFID Compatibility

MatTracker is RFID-ready. Mats can be transponder-tagged and tracked through portal readers, tunnel readers, or handheld scanners. Supported platforms include Positek, DataMars, and Jensen. If you're already running RFID in your plant for uniforms or linen, mats fit into the same infrastructure with no rip-and-replace.

Service History per Mat

Every mat carries a service history. Each clean cycle, each route trip, each assignment change captured against the mat's unique service code. When a customer disputes a delivery or a plant manager wants to know how many cycles a particular mat has been through, the history is on the record.

Reporting on Mat Movement

The same flexible reporting RouteManager is known for, applied to mat operations. Reports break down by route, item, customer, plant, status, and date range. Which branded mats haven't moved in 90 days? How many anti-fatigue mats are sitting in Clean Available? Which routes have the highest mat turnover? If the report you need doesn't ship out of the box, our team builds it.

Integration with Routes and Contracts

MatTracker isn't a side application it's a module of the integrated Textile Technologies suite. Mat assignments live on the contract. Route activity flows through RouteManager. Service history ties back to the same account and contract structure your office team already uses. No double entry, no separate database, no reconciliation between systems.

Built for the Industry, By the Industry

MatTracker exists because mat rental customers asked for it.

Generic inventory tracking didn't fit how a mat plant actually runs. Logo mats needed an assignment model that uniform garments don't need. The "Staged for Loading" state came directly out of route supervisors describing what they actually do at the end of every shift. Each piece of MatTracker started as a real conversation with a real plant.

That's the same playbook the rest of the Textile Technologies suite is built on listening to the operators, building the feature, rolling it forward to the next plant that needs it. Three decades of doing it that way is why our software fits this industry the way it does.

How MatTracker Integrates

MatTracker is part of the Textile Technologies suite and integrates natively with:

  • RouteManager - mats live on the same contract, account, and route structure as the rest of your operation

  • MobileRouteManager -  drivers see the mats on their stops and capture deliveries on the handheld

  • WebManager - customers can review their mat service history through the customer portal

  • InventoryManager - RFID tagging, transponder programming, and inventory counts share the same hardware and workflow

  • BulkScanning - high-volume RFID portal and bin scanning carries mats alongside garments and linen

  • WorkOrderManager - replacement, repair, and new-mat setup ties back to MatTracker's service records

  • eSendServer - customer-facing reports and statements that include mat activity flow through the same email delivery infrastructure

  • VehicleManager - fleet maintenance for the trucks that move mats from plant to route and back

  • Third-party integrations -  include Positek, DataMars, Jensen, and other major RFID hardware platforms.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does MatTracker handle the difference between branded and generic mats?

Generic mats  scrape mats, anti-fatigue mats, message mats with no customer-specific imprint are tracked at the inventory level (Clean Available, Out on Route, Staged for Loading). Branded and logo mats add the Assigned to Customer state, which keeps the mat tied to a specific contract. The result: the right branded mat gets back to the right customer every time, while generic mats stay flexible across your inventory.

What hardware does MatTracker work with?

MatTracker is RFID-ready and integrates with Positek, DataMars, Jensen, and other major RFID hardware platforms handheld readers, portal readers, and tunnel readers. If you're already running RFID for uniforms or linen, mats fit into the same infrastructure. RFID is recommended but not required; mats can also be tracked by service code and barcode.

What statuses does MatTracker track?

Today MatTracker tracks four operational statuses: Clean Available, Assigned to Customer, Out on Route, and Staged for Loading. That model covers the questions that drive day-to-day operations what's ready, what's committed, what's with customers, and what's loaded for tomorrow. Additional status tracking (such as soiled-state and retired/damaged classifications) is on the roadmap; talk to us about how your operation handles those today and what would help most.

Can mats be moved between plants?

Yes. Multi-plant operations can move mats between plants and reassign them as needed. Inventory and service history follow the mat. Reporting rolls up at the plant level and at the corporate level.

What does MatTracker cost?

MatTracker pricing is structured around the size of your mat inventory and the feature set you need  RFID add-ons, integration scope, custom reports. We don't publish list prices because every mat operation is different. Contact us for a quote built around your actual scope.

How long does it take to go live?

Most MatTracker implementations go live in 30 to 90 days, depending on the size of your mat inventory, whether you're tagging existing mats with RFID transponders, and how clean your starting data is. Our team handles the technical side; your team handles the floor-level rollout.

What kind of support do you offer?

The same support our customers are vocal about across the rest of our suite: real humans, fast response times, and deep working knowledge of how textile rental plants actually run. We train your team hands-on, build custom reports on request, and troubleshoot at the operator level not from a script.
