About TextileTechnologies
Built by people who know textile rental.
Independently owned. Founded in 1993. Still answering the phone in Cleburne, Texas.
Textile Technologies develops RouteManager and a complete suite of route accounting software for uniform, linen, and mat rental operators. We’ve spent over 30 years working within this industry, and we plan to spend the next 30 doing the same.
How it all started
In the early 1990s, Star Uniforms, a route operation based in Fort Worth, Texas, was running its business on handwritten tickets, spreadsheets, and a homemade system that didn’t quite work. They brought in a programmer, Joe Dulworth, to fix it. It didn’t take long to uncover the real issue: the software wasn’t broken; it simply didn’t exist. Generic systems didn’t understand route-based service, soil entry, contract pricing, loss and damage tracking, or the day-to-day realities of running a textile rental operation. So Joe built something that did. Working alongside the Star Uniforms team, he developed software tailored to their operation, automating processes one piece at a time. That collaboration became Textile Technologies in 1993, and the software became RouteManager.
Built from inside the plant
In 2000, Dawn Vaughn joined Textile Technologies in a customer service and reporting role, supporting over 30 customers at that time and quickly earning the nickname “Reporting Queen” for delivering the kind of insights operators actually needed. Her onboarding wasn’t limited to the office. She worked alongside plant staff and rode routes with drivers, learning firsthand how textile rental businesses operate from the ground up. That hands-on experience has shaped every product decision since.
Dawn transitioned into development shortly after and has spent over 25 years building, expanding, and supporting RouteManager alongside the customers who rely on it every day.
Industry first
In the early 2000s, Textile Technologies became one of the first companies in the textile rental industry to create a handheld route management solution, which evolved into MobileRouteManager. Routes that once ran on handwritten tickets started running on digital capture, eliminating lost tickets, illegible handwriting, and a full day’s worth of office re-entry.
What we believe
No two operations are the same. A 5-route operation and a 50-route operation do not run the same way, and uniform, linen, and mat businesses all have unique needs. Our platform is built for real customization, allowing your system to match how your operation actually runs.
Customer support is part of the product. From onboarding new users to building custom reports, our support is hands-on, responsive, and led by people who understand your business, not a ticket queue.
We listen, then build. Many of RouteManager’s most important features started as customer conversations. That approach has helped us grow to support over 60 textile rental operators through the years, and counting.
A new chapter — same mission
In January 2026, Joe Dulworth retired after more than three decades building Textile Technologies. Ownership transitioned to Dawn Vaughn, someone who has spent over 25 years working directly with customers, developing the software, and understanding the industry inside and out.
The mission remains the same:
Independently owned. Customer-focused. Built for textile rental operations.
What is evolving is the pace of innovation, delivering modern, efficient software that meets the expectations of today’s operators.

I’ve spent over 25 years working inside this software and this industry. I know what RouteManager does well, and I know where it needs to grow. We are not going anywhere. We are going to keep doing what we have done for decades, and we are going to do it better, faster, and in a more modern way. If you run a textile rental operation and want to speak with someone who truly understands your business, give me a call.
